Wiecinski,1* J. Smolik,2 H. J. com Keywords: multilayer coatings, thermal stability, scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM), salt fog test Abstract.

The examined PVD coatings were characterised in terms of their microstructure, phase composition, chemical composition, and their mechanical properties, such as hardness, Young's modulus, adhesion and such tribological properties at elevated temperatures. The results showed that, the produced AlN-CrN-TiN coatings were characterised by similar hardness (H ≈ 29 – 34 ± 2 GPa) and the Young’s modulus (E ≈ 309 - 337 ± 22 GPa). The adhesion tests confirmed that, together with the increasing number of layers in the PVD coating, the fracture toughness resistance significantly improves.

The results of stream temperature measurement are shown in Fig. 4. Fig. 4 The results of the temperature measurements of the abrasive material. 10 = 450oC. This is closely related to the heat losses on non-isolated channels and the amount of heat from the heat exchanger. Summary The verification tests the universal device for erosion process as allowed the conclusion that the device meets the requirements defined by the ASTM G76-95 standard regarding the stability of the speed and the mass of the abrasive material.
