Concerning further future work, these are several possibilities. As mentioned in the introduction, the presented model can be useful from two perspectives. First, it may be used to get more insight in the process of criminal decision making itself: why do certain people commit certain crimes? To answer such questions, the model has to be fed with more detailed domain knowledge from criminological and psychological literature, and specific experiments have to be designed to study typical questions described in the literature.

It is not claimed that it is the only possible approach2. In LEADSTO, direct temporal dependencies between two state properties in successive states are modelled by executable dynamic properties. The LEADSTO format is defined as follows. Let α and β be state properties of the form ‘conjunction of ground atoms or negations of ground atoms’.
